Lolland is Denmark’s fourth-largest island and is surrounded by the Baltic Sea, Fehmarn Belt, and Langeland Belt. Historically, Lolland was known for its large sugar production, and there are still many sugar beet fields across the island. Today, the only remaining sugar factory is in Nakskov.
