Duckfeet have been designed in Denmark since 1975 and handcrafted in Poland for more than two decades using natural and durable materials sourced within Europe. Most of our leather comes from the German tannery Heinen and is made with terracare® leather (LWG Gold certified). Selected styles are lined with soft European sheep wool for natural warmth and comfort, and all Duckfeet are finished with our signature natural crepe rubber soles.

Selected winter models, such as Århus and Odense, are lined with soft European sheep wool for extra warmth and comfort. The wool lining is non-removable and adapts naturally with wear.

We also offer wool insoles for customers who want additional warmth or a slightly closer fit.

No. Duckfeet are designed for adult feet and currently start from EU size 35.

That said, many older children and teenagers wear Duckfeet once they fit into our smallest size. If they wear EU size 35 or above, they are very welcome to enjoy Duckfeet too.

Yes. Every Duckfeet style is designed to be worn by everyone, regardless of gender.

No. Duckfeet are made from natural full-grain leather, and selected styles are also lined with wool.

We choose natural materials because they are durable, repairable and designed to age beautifully, helping you buy fewer, better shoes that last for many years.

Duckfeet shoe boxes are made from recycled cardboard and feature handles made from leftover pieces of leather. Because the leather comes from offcuts, the colour of the handle will not necessarily match the shoes inside the box.

It's one of the small ways we make the most of our materials and help reduce waste.

Duckfeet feature a naturally wide toe box and are available in European sizes. They are designed to follow the natural shape of your foot, giving your toes room to move while keeping the heel and midfoot comfortably secure.

We recommend measuring your foot in millimetres and comparing it to our size chart rather than relying only on your usual size. If you need help choosing a size, feel free to contact us.

The most important thing is that your shoes are long enough. Your toes should never touch the front of the shoe, and you should have a few millimetres of space in front of your longest toe.

Duckfeet are designed with a naturally wide fit, giving your toes room to spread naturally. If you need to size up for the right length, the shoe may feel roomier than you're used to. A wool or cork insole can help create a closer fit if needed.

If your foot measurement is close to the upper limit of a size, we generally recommend choosing the larger size to ensure enough room.

The most important thing is that your Duckfeet are long enough. Your toes should never touch the front of the shoe. If the larger size feels a little roomy, a wool or cork insole can help create a closer fit.

Not usually. Most people wear the same size in both wool-lined and non-lined Duckfeet styles.

The wool lining may feel snug at first, but it naturally compresses with wear. The length of the shoe remains the same.

Duckfeet are designed with a naturally wide toe box that allows your toes to spread naturally. The forefoot is roomy, while the heel and midfoot are designed to provide a comfortable and secure fit.

Many people with both narrow and wide feet wear Duckfeet comfortably. Customers with narrower feet often prefer lace-up styles or choose a wool or support insole for a closer fit.

Duckfeet are not extra-wide throughout the entire shoe, so if you have very wide feet or a high instep, the fit around the midfoot may vary depending on the style.

A slight amount of heel lift is perfectly normal, especially when your Duckfeet are new. As the leather softens and the sole adapts to your foot, the fit will become more personal over time.

Your shoes should still feel comfortable and secure overall. If the heel movement feels excessive, an insole may help improve the fit.

No. Duckfeet have a flat footbed without built-in arch support. They are designed to follow the natural shape of the foot and provide plenty of room for your toes.

If you prefer additional support, Duckfeet can accommodate most insoles, including support insoles.

No. Duckfeet are not barefoot or zero drop shoes.

They are made with a low natural crepe rubber heel and a more substantial leather and sole construction than barefoot shoes. However, they are designed with a naturally wide toe box and a foot-shaped fit that allows your toes plenty of room.

Duckfeet are made from thick full-grain leather that gradually softens and adapts to your feet through wear and body warmth.

Some smooth leather styles may feel firmer at first, while pebbled leather styles are often softer from the beginning. Every foot is different, but most customers find that their Duckfeet become increasingly comfortable after just a short period of wear as the leather naturally moulds to the shape of the foot.

Full-grain leather is leather where the natural outer surface is left intact, rather than sanded or corrected for a more uniform look. Because the surface is preserved, the leather keeps more of its natural strength, breathability and character – and develops an unique patina over time.

Duckfeet leather adapts more than it “stretches out.”

With wear, the leather softens and gives slightly – primarily in width and around pressure points – as it moulds to your foot. Length will not meaningfully increase.

This natural adaptation is part of how the shoes become more comfortable over time.

Natural leather responds to movement and use. Creases, tonal shifts and small marks are part of how full-grain leather develops patina over time.

Because the surface is left intact, these changes become visible as the leather softens and moves with the foot.

We see this not as wear and tear, but as character – each pair becoming uniquely yours.

With wear and exposure to light, the colour continues to develop – giving each pair its own depth and expression over time.

Duckfeet leather handles everyday rain and moisture well. The dense full-grain leather offers natural resistance and is made for regular use outdoors.

Like all natural leather, it is not fully waterproof and benefits from occasional care. Conditioning the leather helps maintain its suppleness and improves its resistance over time.

If the shoes become wet, let them dry naturally away from direct heat, as this can dry out the leather and make it more rigid over time.

Yes. Crepe rubber provides reliable grip for everyday use while remaining soft and flexible underfoot.
It is not designed for icy or very slippery surfaces.

Crepe rubber naturally darkens over time when exposed to light, air and use. This is part of the material’s character and does not affect performance.

Natural variations in colour can also occur from the raw material itself, depending on when the latex is tapped, as well as from the shoe production process.

No. Wool helps keep your feet warm in colder weather, but its breathable and moisture-managing properties also make it comfortable in milder conditions. That’s why it works well year-round.

Yes. Adding a wool insole can help reduce extra space inside the shoe and create a more secure and comfortable fit.

A little care goes a long way.

Clean your Duckfeet with a damp cloth when needed and let wet shoes dry naturally away from direct heat. Occasionally using leather care helps keep the leather soft, supple and comfortable over time.

Natural crepe rubber soles also benefit from regular wear and storage at normal room temperature.

Use leather care when the leather feels dry or needs nourishment. For regular use, a light treatment every 2–3 months is usually sufficient.

New Duckfeet do not necessarily need leather care straight away, but occasional treatment over time helps maintain the leather and protect it from drying out.

We recommend using our own leather care products developed for Duckfeet leather.

Yes. You can use another suitable leather care product, but we recommend choosing one designed for full-grain leather. As with any leather care product, it's a good idea to test it on a small, less visible area first.

Yes, in many cases. Duckfeet are designed to be repairable, and a professional cobbler can often replace the soles, repair stitching or carry out other repairs, depending on the condition of the shoes.

We do not currently offer a complete repair service in all markets, but you are always welcome to contact us if you need guidance or repair advice.

Yes. Duckfeet shoes are constructed so the soles can be replaced, extending the life of the shoe.

Many customers have had their Duckfeet resoled multiple times over more than a decade of regular wear.

Duckfeet are designed to last for many years. With regular wear, proper care and resoling when needed, they can stay with you for a very long time.

Many customers have worn the same pair for well over a decade, having them resoled several times along the way.

Crepe rubber is a natural material that responds to its surroundings – including temperature.

If the shoes have been stored in cooler conditions – for example in a warehouse or after a period of not being worn – the soles may feel firm at first, sometimes almost hard to the touch.

This is completely normal.

With warmth and regular use, the material quickly returns to its natural softness and flexibility. If needed, you can help the process by letting the shoes warm up at room temperature or placing them on a warm (not hot) surface for a short period before wearing.

A little care goes a long way. Clean off dirt with a damp cloth, let the shoes dry naturally if they become wet, and occasionally nourish the leather with a care product to keep it soft and flexible.

Avoid drying the shoes near direct heat, as this can dry out and stiffen the leather.

Over time, the leather develops character – becoming more beautiful with wear.

Crepe rubber is an untreated natural material that responds to its surroundings.

Regular wear helps maintain the sole’s natural softness and flexibility. If not worn for a period of time, storing your shoes at normal room temperature provides ideal conditions for the soles to rest.

Avoid contact with oils, solvents or similar substances, as they may affect the surface of the rubber.

Let your shoes dry naturally after use and allow the wool to breathe. If needed, remove insoles to air them out. Avoid direct heat, as it can damage the material.

Yes, we ship directly from Denmark to the United States.

Orders to the USA are shipped with FedEx, and free shipping is available on orders above 100 USD.
All duties, taxes and import fees are included at checkout. You will not be charged additional fees on delivery.

We offer home delivery, delivery to pickup points, and pickup at our headquarters in Denmark.

Available delivery methods depend on the delivery country and will be shown during checkout.

Within Denmark, we use GLS for delivery to parcel shops or home addresses.

For EU and international deliveries, we use FedEx.

Free standard shipping is available on orders over 500 DKK / 70 EUR within the EU.

We also offer free shipping on orders above 100 USD.

For all other orders, shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and selected delivery method.

Return shipping costs depend on your location and will be shown when you register your return in the portal.

Items must be returned in the same condition as received and should be returned in their original packaging where possible.

You are welcome to try on your Duckfeet as you would in a physical store. However, if the product has been used beyond what is necessary to assess its nature, characteristics and fit, this may result in a deduction for diminished value.

We recommend trying your Duckfeet indoors on a clean surface before regular use.

Return labels are not included in the package.

If you wish to return your order, please register your return through the return portal. Return instructions and available return label options will be provided there.

Once your return has been received and inspected, refunds are processed as quickly as possible and no later than 14 days from the day we are informed of your withdrawal.

Refunds are made using the original payment method. Depending on your payment provider, it may take a few additional business days before the refund appears in your account.
